Some art has no literal backstory but instead is part of an internal dialogue, where visual imagery emerges as the outward manifestation of pure emotion. The visual result, the painting, sculpture, etc, is the word and the story.

Collaboration of mind and spirit
The wood and resingrave I use for my work has literally grown extinct! Unfortunately for the future of the technique, the materials used are becoming harder or impossible to find. It is increasingly difficult to find the kind of wood used for wood engraving, specifically pear or the more preferred boxwood.

The Crows Nest
I am honored to have been selected to create the seminal art work introducing a new space coming to downtown Baltimore. My piece, Crow’s Nest, will be in the main office of this non-profit and represent the organization. The space will be for creatives who are passionate about climate change and environmental justice and who want to shake things up. Coming in mid-2023.
